Mike Gomme, CEO · Euro-fit Systems Ltd
The short version

How we got here.

Three decades, two generations, one constant focus on furniture fittings and components.

Nick and Carole Gomme founded IntAfit in 1991, a supply chain agency bridging Asia and Europe. Their son Mike joined four years later. He’d built boats, taught sailing and run a yacht charter company, but he chose the family business.

By the mid-90s the business had narrowed its focus to fittings for OEM manufacturers. With most of those customers in the north of England, in 1999 the company relocated from West Sussex to Hull. Euro-fit Systems Ltd was incorporated the following year.

In 2012 we made the move that stuck, taking a 60,000 sq ft warehouse on Barmston Road in Beverley. It was the largest industrial letting in the town that year and it’s been home ever since.

Mike led the business through the next decade of growth, launching a B2C ecommerce site, completing acquisitions and steering the company through Covid.

In 2024 Dan Lowther joined as Operations Director. By 2026 Mike had stepped into the CEO role, with Dan taking the Managing Director seat.

Leadership has changed. The warehouse has grown. The customer base has broadened. What hasn’t changed is the job itself: supplying UK furniture manufacturers with the components they need to build with confidence.

The timeline.

The beginning
